An Alyson’s Orchard Wedding | Kendal J. Bush Photography

Thursday, August 12th, 2010

This beautiful wedding took place on the ever-s0-lovely Alyson’s Orchard.  The beautiful grounds are a perfect backdrop to any wedding, the trees, the water, and the paths – can’t you just imagine yourself breathing in that crisp air!  This is one of the many reasons why i love New England … the amazing hills and trees and fresh air.  What a perfect quintessential New England venue.

The wedding was photographed by Kendal J. Bush Photography and the end results were stunning!  I love the elegant decor and the soft pink and white bridal bouquet, although my absolute fav. shot is the last one.  The couple kissing on the broken dock is so romantic!  A little Notebook-esque i think.  Take a look at some of the photos from this beautiful orchard wedding and visit Kendal J Bush Photography to view the full wedding.

A Laid Back Cape Cod Wedding | Decisive Moment Photojournalists

Monday, August 2nd, 2010

This adorable Cape Cod beach wedding was featured by Decisive Moment Photojournalists.  First thing is first – lets all take a look at that fantastic looking lobster dinner.  Annddd keep looking, keep looking … drooling yet?  Me too.  As a proud Mainer I have to say that I am a lobster and seafood snob, but that right there – well, that just looks amazing.  I’m loving all of the details for this wedding, the driftwood signs, the ceramic centerpiece vases, and even the kayaks!  I would love to take one of those out for a little mid-wedding getaway with my new hubby.  Check out the wedding below with some insight from Decisive Moment Photojournalists and see the full wedding on their blog!

“Julie and Ryan live in Chicago–Julie even works for the Oprah Show–but that didn’t stop them from finding the sweetest and most remote of Cape Cod  venues for their little beach wedding, the Chequessett Yacht and Country Club.  Complete with lobster and corn, the New England clambake, catered by Chef Joe of Outer Cape Clambake and his gang, was the perfect dinner complement to the gorgeously natural ceremony at the apex of low tide.”

“The little boat house was sparsely decorated with some DIY flair to maintain that rustic Cape feel.  Beth O’Rourke of Cape Spin DJ provided the tunes that kept the party going well after the sun set and into the night.  In fact we had so much fun with these guys that we accompanied them to Winslow’s Tavern for our ceremonial after wedding Patron tequila nightcap which to my surprise, Julie and Ryan insisted on partaking in our tradition. Cheers to these guys and their incredible friends and family.”

A Rustic Love Bird Wedding | Ambiance Chic Wedding Design

Wednesday, July 28th, 2010

Major love going out to this love bird inspired wedding featured by Connecticut wedding planner, Ambiance Chic Wedding Designs.  I can’t even contain my excitement about the decor for this wedding.  Well done, Ambiance Chic Wedding Designs, well done.  I have fallen madly for the “two” pillow .. what an adorably creative idea, especially with the definition and pronunciation on the back!

So I’ve come to the realization that I will A. never get enough of those love bird chair linens and will always want to B. cook up a tall stack of pancakes when i see that amazing maple syrup.  Maple syrup = New England; New England = Happy thoughts thus by default, Maple Syrup = Happy Thoughts : ) ( i took logic in college, no biggie).  Check out these great details below and visit Ambiance Chic Wedding Designs Blog for the full wedding.

Plum Island, MA | Fat Orange Cat Studio

Thursday, July 22nd, 2010

Okay, first thing’s first … SEAHORSES!  Now, if I could knit – i would knit myself a million of these adorable little sea horse cake toppers.  The bride and the fab photographer, Li Ward of Fat Orange Cat Studio are members of a knitting community (amazing!) … what talent!  I SO wish I could knit.  Anyway!

This beautiful couple was married on Plum Island in Massachusetts and you know what?  I think the gray skies make the beach look absolutely beautiful.  The couple’s style seems to be pretty laid back which gives this wedding an amazingly chilled out atmosphere.  With a chef manning the grill, chocolate frosted delicious-ness cupcakes strewn out on a table, and a bottle of bubbly, this wedding looks so inviting!

As much as I used to dislike tying sashes around chair covers during my days of working weddings (mmhm, you could have found me lugging 8 stacked chivaris on my back across the lawn : ) loved it!) … they really do work wonders to chairs.  I love the white on white – can’t go wrong with that color palette.

A Beautiful Barn Wedding from Geneve Hoffman Photography

Monday, July 12th, 2010

There are so many ways to get the feel of a New England wedding – one way is to choose the right venue that accentuates the New England vibe.   The wedding below, captured by Maine wedding photographerGeneve Hoffman Photography, took place in New Hampshire at a beautiful barn location on the property of the bride and groom.  Using a barn for the reception space at your wedding is like using the most beautiful blank canvas ever.  Barns have a great atmosphere, with the exposed beams and the old wood and the rustic, New England feel – a perfect place to start.  From there, you can customize and start the personalization.  The great thing about a barn is that there is no wallpaper or gaudy lighting or horrid rugs that can’t be removed.  You can start with lighting .. maybe some drapings?  maybe some photographs?  maybe some flower arrangements?  It’s up to you!  Check out the beautiful New Hampshire barn wedding below and visit my Kate Parker Wedding for more by Geneve Hoffman Photography.
