Thursday, July 1st, 2010

So as I have been looking for some amazing vendor blog posts to share with you, I stumbled upon this fabulous wedding on chad michael peters’ Style Blog and I was SO excited to show it to everyone!

I always love CMP’s work, and I especially love the ribbon details on the centerpieces and the boutonnieres.  I don’t think I’ve seen cooler wedding party dresses either!  Hope you enjoy!  KP

Incredible New England Venues from Stoneblossom Floral & Event Design

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2010

One of my favorite things about working the wedding biz in New England is the unlimited amount of muse worthy venues in our region. Now, if I where to try and feature every single incredible New England venue we would be here all day. So, I comprised a list of some of my top favorites. Some, that we work with often and others that we’re just holding our breaths to work with.

Let’s kick things off with the wonderful selection of exquisite luxury hotels and inns:

Castle Hill Inn & Restaurant – Newport, RI

Chatham Bars Inn, Chatham, MA

The Wheatleigh Hotel – Lenox, MA

Harborside Hotel – Bar Harbor, ME

How about an idyllic Vermont wedding? Could you imagine this place in the fall? Nothing short of incredible!

Riverside Farm – Pittsfield, VT

More of an urban couple? We’ve got you covered. Check out this industrial chic space:

The Loading Dock – Stamford, CT

Getting married in New England leaves you with no shortage of amazing venues to consider. So which venue is your favorite? I’d love to hear!

Hand-tied Bouquet from Jessica’s Country Flowers

Thursday, June 10th, 2010

This beautiful hand-tied bouquet features Saracena lilies, “Patience” garden roses and white freesia.  It’s aroma is light and flavorful to the nose.  The garden roses give you that fluffy feel of peonies without them.  Many of our clients love the feel of peonies but are marrying during hot summer months when peonies are out of season.  The garden roses (or sometimes called cabbage roses) are a perfect solution!

When we meet with clients, we love to introduce new and interesting flowers, greenery or berries for that added touch of texture.  It also makes people turn their heads and say “wow! I’ve never seen that before!”  This bouquet is wrapped with a wide ivory satin ribbon and detailed with a copper/bronze ribbon with sequins in French knots.  I’ve added a few vintage rhinestone buttons for a touch of sparkle and interest to the stems.  The Saracena lily would be perfect for any gentlemen’s boutonnieres.
