Engagement Sessions

Kristin Korpos | Engagement Session at the BCAE Kitchen

Monday, October 4th, 2010

Get ready to start drooling … a. over those amazing looking fajitas and b. over the amazingly cute couple and c. over the amazing talent that is flowing out of Kristin Korpos’s camera.  What a creative and fun idea for an engagement session!  I think it’s so great when a couple take something they love, i.e. cooking, and incorporates it into their engagement session.  I know that when I have my engagement photographs taken, I will feel SO much more comfortable being photographed doing an activity that i enjoy with my fiancee, rather than just hangin out in the city. But that’s just me.

I think doing what you love for your engagement session, whether its going for a walk in the park, or cooking or bowling or just lounging in your house, is the perfect way to reflect who you are as a couple.  Kristin Korpos did such a fantastic job at capturing the vivacity and fun of this engagement session.  Well, I love these photographs way too much to keep on writing about them, so go ahead, dive in!  You can see the full engagement session on Kristin Korpos’ blog!

Thanks to Kristin Korpos Photography for sharing!

North Conway Engagement Session | Birch Blaze Photography

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

I love this couple!  And, of course, the views.  How beautiful is North Conway … the mountains and clouds and cliffs are spectacular!  Now this is what I think of when I think New Hampshire.  Birch Blaze Photography did such a great job capturing the couple’s spirit and adventure while also catching the beautiful scenery.  I love the shot of the couple on the rocky slopes from a distance.  Thank you Kerry and Taylor for sharing this beautiful engagement session!

The Proposal | Ned Jackson Photography

Monday, September 20th, 2010

Ned Jackson Photography captured this amazing proposal at the Chauncey Creek Lobster Pier.  Brian, the propose-er, had gotten in touch with Ned about his idea to propose to propose-ee, Martha, while Ned hid out amongst the crowd, capturing the details as the proposal unfolded.  Ned, despite his six-foot-four-ness, remained hidden and unseen by Martha.  What a perfect way to capture an engagement session while the emotions are truly fresh and genuine.  Also … Brian proposed to Martha’s daughter that day as well … with a ring pop.  I love that!  Two girls, two rings, and a happy happy man = a very special day.  Congratulations!  See the full story and slideshow on Ned Jackson’s blog!

Congratulations to Brian and Martha!

A Newport Engagement Session | Eric Foley Photography

This engagement session took place in the ever so beautiful Newport, RI on the most perfect day ever!  With barely a cloud in the sky and perfect lighting, this engagement shoot was just beautiful!  The couple stayed seaside for some gorgeous shots by the water and on the cliff like rocks – check out that last picture with the couple looking up, I love the water – it’s got such great texture and color.  To see more from this engagement session visit Eric Foley’s blog and visit Eric Foley Photography on my Kate Parker Wedding!

A Red Sox Engagement Session | Eric Foley Photography

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Can I preface this post with a little song?  Here it goes …

“Sweeeet Caroliiiine,  BUM BUM BUMMM!”  That was me.  Singing in the office.  Putting together this post.

Is anyone as jealous as me that this couple got to stand underneath the green monster and pose for these amazing engagement session photographs?  Thought so.  Well, I don’t think anyone can say New England Sports without immediately thinking of the Red Sox, the green monster, and good old Sweet Caroline during the 7th inning stretch.  There is nothing better than sitting in Fenway, eating a foot long, and watching the boys work their magic on the field … maybe add a beer and some locals and Big Papi hitting one out of the park : ) gotta love it.  Well, I could go on forever about the Sox, but this engagement session is absolutely adorable.  Rhode Island wedding photographer, Eric Foley Photography was behind the camera for this awesome shoot!  I love the shots of the old seats, classic!  The couple sported their red sox attire and worked their way through the park, green monster and all! .ay.

Massachusetts Engagement Session | Avenna Studios

Tuesday, June 29th, 2010

This amazing engagement session was photographed by Massachusetts wedding photographer, Avenna Studios!  I love the location!  The fences and the sand and the rocks and the colors are such a great mix of elements.  Engagement sessions are such a great opportunity for couples to get comfortable in front of the camera and also to show off their couple style.  Choosing a location with multiple colors and features can be a great way to get a variety of photographs.

Julie and Adam’s E Session: Long Island City from Bruce Plotkin Photography

Monday, June 28th, 2010

Discovering new (and old) NYC area destinations for me is always a treat. Our engagement sessions lend them themselves beautifully to the task.

From Dumbo (directly under the Manhattan Bridge overpass, for those not in the know) to Hoboken, Central Park to Battery Park, there’s never a lack of great locale, and never a photo session without the unexpected bringing something extra special to the mix.

And what could be more special than spending the afternoon exploring their Long Island City neighborhood with Julie and Adam. With their wedding plans set for Tappan Hill in October, and the mid-May weather at its finest, we walked and talked, got to know each other a bit better, and took (I think you’ll agree) some beautiful pictures together. More of the wonderful story of Julie and Adam, of course, to follow.

Jamie and Kevin engagement session from Studio Nouveau

Am I right? or am I right?

jamie+kevin2

We met Jamie & Kevin in the uber Boston classic Boston Public Garden! But I think you’ll agree there’s nothing ordinary about this couple! Jamie & Kevin radiate love- you can see it in their eyes!

jamie+kevin027

jamie+kevin031

Jamie is quite the acrobat!

jamie+kevin039

So when we meet a couple for the first time we throw out little suggestions whilst shooting like “jump” or “run” to see how our couple reacts and then we know just how far to push them… the word today: “ROLL!” ha.
